Meet Alex

FLYING POLE ARTIST
AERIAL & FIRE PERFORMER
YOGA & MOVEMENT

My ultimate goal is to provide safe space for people to have a full sensory experience, while working with the language of their body. My vision is to bring joy and play back to the lives of adults who are struggling to connect to this part of themselves.

Our bodies can hold on to so much and with the pace of life we can forget to take inventory of it all. With offerings that hold space to let release happen, and lean on the group consciousness to help uplift the transformation process from one of grief to one of celebration, I ultimately see a movement of strong powerful leaders changing the vibration of the world. If I can be a part of that, I will be forever grateful!

Yoga

Sat Nam ♥️

I’ve been exploring and deepening my practice for 8 years now. Through beginnings in teaching dance, to stepping into studio ownership and community development, and arriving in my yoga. In 2019 I lost my hair to alopecia, and things changed completely when I sat with this new part of me. It is a continuous practice to keep coming back to union and balance, so this is where the real journey began. I’ve travelled through Central America and Morocco to learn much about this and also to truly understand what the yogic path looks like for me. My intention is to connect to local community, share creativity in classes and styles, and to show up with integrity each day through prioritizing holistic health. I believe that movement serves us in the deepest of ways, as well as the art of slowing down and listening.

Qualifications- 500 RYT (vinyasa, hatha, breath work, meditation, yoga therapy, philosophy, acro yoga ,  embodied dance, yin, restorative, aerial yoga)

Thai Yoga Massage

Touch is our most primal language.

We absolutely need it as infants, over any other sense. Or we could die (actually). But often our safety, maturity and overall experience with touch is limited. My training with Navina is primarily about expanding our touch vocabulary and enhancing the traditional practice. Thai massage is rooted in Thailand, where it is used as conversation, care for friends and family, and a tool for connection.

We have so much stress and strain and held tension in the body. This is not a sports massage- it’s a practice of letting go. In the massage I use sustained pressure, joint articulation and assisted stretches through a meditative ‘meta’ meaning both the giver and receiver are experiencing benefits of self care.

The massage is done fully clothed, on a large mat. You will be seated, prone, and supine. For your comfort, props will be used including bolsters and pillows.
